JAMIE ROBSON

Jamie Robson combines his background in fighting, movement, dance, theatre and film, channelling his ideas into creative projects. He studied Film & Television Production in Glasgow, has acted in several short films, been nominated for a Scottish BAFTA and has performed in commercials for some of the largest advertisers in the world including Nokia and Compal Vital. He is brand ambassador for Dutch fashion label DO Sport Live. Jamie has lectured at the FABRICA research centre in Venice on behalf of Benetton Clothing and at the NICA Circus Institute in Melbourne, Australia. Jamie is an in-house choreographer for the music label LuckyMe who have among their list of artists, Hudson Mohawke and Baauer. He works closely with sister-company LuckyMe Studio, founded by celebrated filmmaker Peter Marsden. Jamie and Peter have worked together on many independent films, music videos and fashion projects. He’s collaborated with lifestyle platform NOWNESS on numerous commissions and continues to work with their previous editor-in-chief. Jamie performed alongside contemporary dancer Aniela Piasecka in collaboration with artist Paloma Proudfoot, opening the Edinburgh Arts Festival to critical acclaim with Made To Be Broken. Today, Jamie continues to push further into new territories, driven by his obsession with generalism, minimalism and sustainability.
